Want to be kept up to date with all the latest developments?
Her ups, and unfortunately downs will all be documented here no matter how big or small.
Couple of updates:
-Bonnets now back freshly painted.
-Dash came out for a flocking refresh.
-All new custom gauge pod has been made using the OEM clock housing so now fitment is OEM quality.
-A Lifeline 4ltr plumbed in fire supression system has been partially installed.
All complete now on the outside, a quick snap before the bonnet comes off.
Bonnet off and stripped ready for paint.
Now sporting the “fast & furious” street racer look.
Almost ready for some paint.
Got my genuine works vent back from being primed so decided I’d get the bonnet cut today.
I’ll let the photos do the talking here.
With the high pressure line removed it was clear to see that the line had for some reason degraded from the inside out and was weeping through the core of the hose.
With that I took it to my local hose supplier for a second opinion. Mark @ Speedshop was helpful as ever and said the hose had deteriorated due to a combination of heat and it being used probably slightly over it’s pressure rating.
Mark made me a new heavy duty hose up straight away free of charge.
Unfortunately she’s developed a rather unusual power steering leak.
It would appear the leak is coming through the braided hose.
Time to have it off and have a look.
